With Japan’s food self-sufficiency rate at just 37% and over 6 million tons of food wasted annually, this project envisions a food hub that raises awareness about food sustainability while fostering a sense of community. Located in Nerima Ward, known for its farmland, the area faces challenges as many landowners are forced to sell for financial reasons.
This project aims to bridge the gap between farmland and urban life, creating a space where people can reconnect with agriculture, strengthen their ties to the community, and cultivate a more sustainable and fulfilling way of living.
